One of the warriors of old made this statement: "The purpose of war is victory, and the purpose of victory is occupation." In the Kingdom, we add one more step to the process: The purpose of occupation is expansion. 13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"14 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 15 "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"16Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, [b] the Son of the living God." 17Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[c] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.[e] 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be [f] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[g] loosed in heaven." 20Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ (Matthew 16:13-18).
When Jesus brought his disciples to this particular geographic area, ((Caesarea Philippi) Please click on the link for detailed information about this geographic area), that by the way was forbidden for the Jewish; he was challenging them as he still challenges us today to declare a war on the devil, with the purpose of going to the enemy’s camp and defeat him in his own territory, take the captive back to Jerusalem (the Church) (Psalm 126); hence take over this area and expand and establish there the Kingdom of God. As colonist, pioneers and planters of the Kingdom of God, we must go to the enemy’s territory and camp and after defeating him we should establish a colony of the Kingdom of God there and replace the pagan, idolater, evil darkness, crooked and oxymoran pattern of thinking, by way of living the Jesus Culture. By the same token, when our God, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord, The Adonai, El Shaddai, sends us to the colleges, a center of humanism worship, the doctrine and culture of the antichrist; he is sending us with a purpose to go and take over with God’s doctrine the Bible and God’s culture, the kingdom way of life. He is asking us to go to the enemy camp and take the captive and free them from the chains, shackles and bond of the devil and open the eyes of the sinners in order that they can be translated from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light, from the power and dominion of satan to the power of God, so their sin can be forgiven, and they will form part of a new culture and way of life, the saints of God.
